Yes — MadMath Speed Trainer is completely free to use. No ads, no subscriptions, and no user tracking. It’s a passion project built to help learners enjoy math again.
Your score is based on three things: accuracy, speed, and difficulty. Harder questions are worth more. Getting every answer right matters most, and finishing a challenging set quickly can raise your score further.
Multiplying by 10 is usually easier than multiplying a long number by 7 or 12. MadMath takes the size of the number and the multiplication table into account, so harder questions can earn more points.
To keep things fair! Blurring prevents users from solving questions mentally before the timer starts. Once you're ready, click "Start Timer" to reveal everything.
Some learners begin with the ones digit and build the answer from right to left. Turn this option on if you want the answer box to follow that working style. If that is not how you normally calculate, simply leave it off.
Finishing faster helps most when the quiz is genuinely challenging and you are faster than the expected pace for that difficulty. Accuracy still matters, so rushing through an easier set will not automatically produce a much higher score.
Yes. You can practise without giving an email address. Enter an email only if you want a copy of your results sent to you.
